What your looking at is a 1946 Pete,what I learned to drive on was a 1948 Pete, almost identical except it was a log truck rather than a sleeper road truck. The one in the picture is owned by a guy in Red Oak Ca. I think that is the city .

No that’s not mine ,wish it was, but couldn’t afford it, was going through Reno in 2001, and seen all these old binders at this truck stop, and ask what’s up. They said that there was an antique truck show today.

Of course the load that I was delivering made it a day later. That is not me in the picture ,I believe it is the owner.8)

Fowl, I just re calculated, and changed state to New Mexico, it went to 9.75. Im discrimanated on again for living in Tx. Its a Bush hatred thing, Im gona sue.

Don’t have clue, noticed it didn’t have air-conditioning, in the middle of Nevada in July, plus no air ride suspension, didn’t want to get to like it to well.8)

As the ex owner of a small trucking company, with 3 power units averaging 4.8 mpg, traveling an average of 2,200 miles/week/unit, plus my diesel pickup, plus my 27' Century, plus heating the house with oil in upstate NY.............What would my footprint have been - 600?

Probably about three times what my second post above got about would put you in the 270 area, would help if you got rid of the ‘Diesel pickup, would give the fleet a little boost on fuel MPG.8)

No thanks, don’t need a Freight shaker, prefer what I got, when it breaks down get on the Phone and say unk your truck just broke down,I’ll be at such and such Motel when it gets fixed. Of course it only has 100000 thousand miles on it ,hardly broke in.8)

Tried to be as fair as I could. Charged all the driving to my
AWD ford van. When my wife actually puts in over a third of the mileage in her 40 MPG go-cart!
What really killed us is her trips to DC every other year with the Navy.
That program don't like jets!
