What is Zgapi.

Went to the Aug, Sept, issues of the reviews and This Zgapi site pops up and is d/l to my computer i stopped it.

As least i thought now the computer is a lot slower, and acting funny.

What exactly is it ??

And if it did d/l and i don't want it can i get rid of it ??


And why would the site want to place it on my computer???

[FONT=&quot]Zgapi it a technology provider that iboats partnered with to provide a more unique way of displaying the iboats.com review. The pop-up you saw was most likely a shockwave flash update utility. Zegapi requires flash 7+ with Internet explorer plug ins enabled. Depending on your OS and browser setup your computer may have initiated the install automatically. It is not something I would personally worry about.

However, i would always suggest taking the proper steps if you're not sure what your computer tried to have you install.
1) Check the downloads folder on your computer and sort by date to see what it tried to dl.
2) IF you don't see anything in there I would run a virus scan or perhaps a spyware scan.

Regardless - I can say that Zgapi is clean and the only software it requires you to install or have installed is shockwave/flash.

I just turned on my personal machine and tested both OSX and Vista. Both operating systems prompted me to install shockwave/flash. I just ran my virus scan and windows defender and didn't find anything.[/FONT]

This is what i did.

I clicked on the link to the Aug issue of iboats reviews. And this Zgapi site pops up starts to d/l.

I stop it and click on Sept. issue and the same thing.

But it didn't happen for Nov. and DEC. they worked perfectly.

I'm not trying to step on anyones toes.

But thats not nice.

We used Zgapi during the Summer time to provide a more "media rich" experience. We have since gone back to the "old" version. You won't have any more Zgapi experiences with us unless you go to an archived newsletter.
