What kind of boat is this?

I've been looking around the web and can't find much that is even similar to the boat in question, let alone specific to this one. Any ideas? There aren't any full on side view shots so the sloppy paint made picture is a rough example. It's about 30ft. long and 10-12ft. wide, maybe a bit larger but thats a reasonable estimate. It has a large deck on top with railing around. There are marks on the top in the carpet that indicate some sort or driver console was once attached but currently it's completely flat. The rear has a half sized sliding glass door that allows acess to a room with a small kitchen counter setup, table, and two couchs. In the far back is a door leading to a small bathroom and bed setup in the far front of the boat. Any thoughts, I'll try to take some side shots later today, thanks!

I took a couple of pics of the side to get a better clue... where exactly can I find a HID? There werent any numbers on the bach of the back besides the one's shown below... and the ones on the side, thanks.

What are the numers below for? If it helps, and since there hard to make out given the small size of the pic, the numbers are No.5377.72NET8...

No.5377.72NET8
These numbers indicate a documented vessel. Call the Coasties for more info as I haven't been able to match anything up.

Playing with the image of the decal that's on both sides, I got this if it helps anybody.

Ditto, very interesting design. Wonder what it looked like in its heyday...and how they powered it? Keep the info coming.

Re: What kind of boat is this?

The information I got was that it came from the factory with a volvo 225 HP engine, somewhere along the line the previous owner lost the information of the boat and can't recall the builder. It is very unique compared to most of what I've seen during my search's and I'm looking forward to rebuilding it but need to get other details squared away so I can have it ready sooner than later. I'm going to call the previous owner again this week and see if they've found there old paperwork yet. The plate on the trailer is from Indiana but the boat has Wrightsville Beach, which is here it NC, written on the back so I'm a little thrown as to it's origin.

You can also call the Indiana Department of Motor Vehicles and they may be able to search your registration number. No other boat will have that number becuase they are all unique and never changed. Good Luck and keep us informed.

OK, actually, it's the same boat! Just noticed the registration numbers are identical. It's a "Cargile Cutter". Google "Cargile Cutter" and you'll find some stuff about them.

Wow, thats a trip... can't believe you found the actual boat. Now I can try to contact the origional owner to get more information. I'll definitely keep updates regarding the rebuild. It's strange to see it now compared to then, the previous owner definitely did a hack job on her. Atleast I'll be able to make her sea worthy again. Thanks alot!

Nice work, blouderback. Nice, odd looking boat. Doesn't seem too seaworthy, though.

Re: What kind of boat is this?

Occording to the owner, in the link blouderback found, the same model once made a trip to europe. Not that I'll be doing that but its seaworthy enough to take out with some friends and have a good time along the coast.

Not a big lake person but what are the typical restrictions on a lake? just wondering since the pictures look as though its on lake, maybe it's just me. The previous owner having a 454 in there is quite a swap though, given the origional volvo motor. I intended to stick to a 350 but now I'm not sure. Anyone know of a salvage yard or used parts distributor in or aound North Carolina I can pick up some controller parts to start rebuilding the upper helm?
