Hey all,

Just got a new to me boat...

I just dont know what kind of boat it is...

The title says "B&D Mfg."...

I did a web search for that, and only came up with some hydraulic hose places and such... anyone have an idea on what it may be?

It also has a picture of a cougar (Puma) on the centercap for the steering wheel, and you can see (probably not in the picture) but you can see the same emblem faded in on the side of the boat (the sticker has since come off)

The wording on the side is in cursive and I cant read it... almost looks like checkmate (I'm familiar with them), but the word is a smidge too short.

Any thoughts?

does it really matter what kind it is as long as it floats and does the things that you want to?

Clearly, it's a blue one!:D

Does it have a HIN? The letters at the beginning indicate the manufacturer.

I ran the HIN, and it came up with the same thing on the title:

B&D Manufacturing... bought by sea sprite in 1987, and closed.

Re: What kind of boat?

Well if anyone is interested, I figured out what kind of boat it is...

Its a "Cheetah"... Never heard of them. (And its not the current one that you find online that still makes boats, but maybe a different company... or maybe just an old old model of theirs... the hull shape is very much like the 21' they offer).

But anyhoo... if anyone has any info on it/them, I would greatly appreciate it!

Cheetah makes a very good boat from my experience. I am sorry I didn't see this thread earlier. When you described the steering wheel, I knew what you had. A friend of mine owned a Cheetah fish and ski and we fished bass tournaments out of it quite often for over 5 years. The boat rode well and was very solid. The only problem he ever had was the Suzuki hanging on the back of it.
