The wise boat seats I bought were total junk and the plastic substrate for the bottoms and backs have broken on both my dad's boat and mine. I'm looking for a replacement seat that is built as well as my Skeeter boat seats from the factory. I looked at the plastic substrate under the Skeeter seats and they are far thicker and better-- not even comparable to the Wise seats. Does anyone know what replacement seats are the best that will hold up to a 275lb. rear end?
Thanks

jb, I know they are not replacement looking for your Wise seats but I have been using Tempress Navistyle seats and really like them. The whole seat bucket is heavy plastic which includes the hinges and have yet to have one fail. And yes they will support a heavy person.
I put them in my Lund when I did that one about 5 years ago and they still look new. I have also just picked up 4 more and replaced the one original Alumacraft seat that was left and the 2 Wise seats that came with the Classic 16 that I bought last fall.

Would have liked to tried the Attwood Centric II seats which has a slightly larger seat but it is also twice the price. I still believe the Tempress are the best seat out there for the money.

Thanks bonzd!
I had researched it a little on google and saw a couple of other people that also recommended tempress, so that's what I was leaning toward. The main thing I'm concerned with is that the plastic substrate/frame is thicker/heavier than the Wise. I'm really hard on seats and so is my dad. I'm bad about leaning backward in them trying to reach something, etc. etc. I bought the cheapest camo boat seats from wise that Academy had and they were not only weak, but also had the worst foam I've ever seen. The other Wise seats I've had at least had decent foam, but those cloth camo seats were pancaked and hard as stone in 5 minutes. I really appreciate your time on the response.

jb, I have one here next to my computor that is not moumted. I was going to shoot you a couple quick photo but the camera batt is dead. I suggest that if you have a Bass Pro Shop or Cabelas close by then go take a look. They really are very well built and I also find them very comfortable. Now mind you that the Hiback chair is a wee bit larger than the lowbacks seat.

Also the Tempress and Attwood seats are used by many of the higher end fishing boat manf.

Why not just order new ones from Skeeter?

Engineered Like No Other - Skeeter Boats

I have had a few tempress which had no foam butt support at all. Completely compressed in about 30 seconds, and I only weigh 190.

My old Alumacraft seats from 1976 are better than the $125 Tempress I bought last year.

Best seat comfort I have are 2 Alumacraft seats I bought this spring, $183 each.

Well roscoe looks to me that the new Alumacrafts are using both Tempress and Attwood seats. Have to disagree about the old Alumacraft seats the one that was left in my 1988 Classic were rock hard. The Tempress All Weather seats are thin, the Navistyle are much thicker and quite comfy and I go 185# give or take depending on the day. Also my fishing buddy goes 230+ and I hear no complaints. But again if the Attwood Centric II weren't $240.00 ea. then there would be 4 of them in my boat.
