what kind of outdrive?

all my outdrive says on it is mercruiser 350, probably for the 350 engine. I am not sure by the year, the first 2 numbers in the serial are 96. does anyone have a clue of what kind it would be? alpha/bravo etc. It looks fairly larger than others iv seen.

Keeping the rest of the serial number secret is not gonna help anyone identify it.
Either post the whole outdrive serial number or take a decent pic or two of it and post.

sorry, i got the number off the outdrive, it is 6835 and what i think is a 73 then a 2 so 6835732. again not sure about the 73

Ayuh,....

It looks to be a early/mid 80s 5.7l, with an Alpha 1 drive...
