Hello
Finally got the engine back on the boat but since the engine fell on the prop, I went to the repair shop and they gave me a sky high price. The dude at the repair shop honestly said that it is time to find another prop. So I went to the merc prop finder and it didn't give me any results, so I increased the weight of passengers and cargo to 1000 lbs (realistically I weigh like 140lbs plus maybe a full bait tank of fish) and it told me to use the 27 pitch fury or tempest plus. BUT these are only merc props. I was thinking about an omc raker. The busted prop is a 16x21 suzuki stainless prop. I think all the trouble with this prop selection is that my engine gear ratio is 2.29, and on a boat that weighs 1600lbs that is too much, so it needs a monster of a prop. But like I said I saw some really nice rakers 26p ones up for sale, was wondering if those might work? Also a boatload of mirage 27p props up for sale. My goal with this boat is top speed. It is a tuffy 1890 esox deep v. Not quite a bass boat because the sides are higher, but the bottom is the same and it has a bass boat "pad". Any reccomendations on what props to put on it? Thanks
