Use Champion J4C gapped at .030" according to the factory chart.

On that old a motor, if you have fouling problems, and the ignition system is OK along with the carb and thermostat, then the J6C can help.

Re: what kind of spark plugs do i need???? Please help!

Cool, Thanks Seahorse.. i just bought the motor a few months ago. It runs pretty good but it cuts in and out every now and then.. It just hesitates a lil-bit.. Especially when i give it alot of gas all at once.. so i thought it could have something to do with the plugs...

I saw a fuel filter on the gas line, I was wondering could that have anything to do with it?? if you know please respond.

Thanks for the information on the spark plugs,, i checked the plugs in it. And they were j6c but they look all burnt and gunked up with oil.. so i went to the parts house bout' 30-40 mins ago and got some j4c plugs and a gap tool.

thanks.. Mot0rhead.
