what kind of spark tester do i need

was tring to set timing on this 1990 200 gt by the reeves way but dont know what the spark tester is or how to set up the 7/16 gap on it has anyone info on this

ok i see what it is now whay do i need to use one to set the timing

if you do any sort of engine work you need one just like you need a wrench.

if you are using Joe Reeves, method of setting timing, you need it to ground the plug wire.
