The Mazda RX8 is a great car, but the engines die like clockwork @ 155K miles. Nobody knows how to work on a rotary engine anymore.

Or less, in a lot of cases. Rotaries are more reliable NA, but also a bit of a dog. I've owned and rebuilt plenty of them. Finally I swapped an LS1 in a 3rd gen rx7. Made a much better car IMO.
The rx8 would make a great car with a v8 but the engine sits so far aft it would be hard, I think there's a kit though.

I have only driven one Jaguar, and it was an older 12 cyl vert. This was a long time ago, so hard to comment on the car, but it might be worth a look. I wonder what maintenance would be like though?

4 words "Lucas, Lord of Darkness" ;)

To the OP, what about the early-mid 90's Nissan 300ZX. Even the twin turbo models look pretty reasonably priced.

oh boy, take a look at an underhood photo. they're a nightmare to work on but I think they're relatively reliable

Here's a nice read on our local GM cars, scroll down to the Holden Special Vehicles they're awesome and a true modern day muscle car IMO.

Here's a picture of a '79 T/A I used to have, it had a lot more bark than bite but still a good solid car.

You can just see the steering wheel on the right side.

Sorry, that is incorrect. I may not know a ton about boats, but I have a pretty good knowlege of cars. And I dont even like Mustangs. Fox body was 79-93. Do a little research. http://mustangs.about.com/od/faq/f/faq-foxbody.htm http://mustangs.about.com/od/faq/f/faq-foxbody.htm

I could just do a google search and come up with about a thousands referances. I think they may have called the 94-98 a Fox4, but for the most part, what people call the Fox body is the 79-93.

The "SN 95" was the model designation for the fourth generation (93-2004). It was still very much a Fox variant.
