I am replacing bushings and a gear in my omc powershift II remote control box. i was wanting to clean all the old gunk out and put something back on the bushings and moving surfaces to reduce friction. does anyone have any suggestions on what to use ?

thanks

The Evinrude Triple-Guard grease works the best. It will not harden up over time as some others do.

Any Johnson-Evinrude dealer carries it and it is mentioned in all the owners and service manuals. It also is great for steering systems and prop shaft splines and engine grease fittings as it does not wash off while in use.
