As some of you know with your help I have been fixing up a 1995 Sea-Pro (3.0LX)I just bought that had an over heating problem. It being 11 years old you guys have talked me into replacing the manifold. One of the resions I bought this sea-pro is that it had the same power that my other boat has so I would have extra parts (1995 Bayliner Capri 3.0LX).

So I removed the manifold (and broke no bolts YEA!) and was compairing it to the one on the bayliner and its different??? Same year, same motor....different? I say whatever and called epower and he tells me the one I need is no longer made? The old one made was the one to fit the bayliner...strange.

Ok so whats the majot difference...about and inch and a half. The seapro manifold has the carb about 1.5" farther out than the manifold on the bayliner. Not a really big deal but I would have to make the fuel lines and throttle cable shorter? What a PITA?

Anyone else have any experience with this problem? Aside from what I said (fuel lines, throttle) what else will not line up? Are the poers the same size in the head?

Here are the info I have on the two motors:

Bayliner 1995
Mercruiser 3.0LX
SN 0f550801
Takes Spark plug AC-MR43LTS (only difference on carb cover)

Sea-Pro
Mercruiser 3.0LX
SN 0f371094
Takes spark plug AC-MR43TS (only difference on carb cover)

Help!

Re: What manifold is this?

epower.com told me just now on the phone "the digital electronic ignition system 3.0LX motor was a piece of s**t and everybody discontinued all the parts for it, sorry"

???

Can I make the other manifold work? The mesurement from the head to the outer carb bolt is 4 1/16" on the manifold he has and 6 1/2" on the manifold I have. Will the throttle cable even adjust that far?

Re: What manifold is this?

Well today I took it to a friends house and had him throw it in the mill. Think this is acceptable to use for a few months until Mercruiser releases the manifold? I figure a little hi-temp RTV and a new gasket and riser and maybe I'll be ok. Any comments?
