What material to use for attaching new deck to hull sides?

The subject line basically says it all. I'm installing a new deck into my Donzi Regazza (5/8" marine plywood encapsulated in polyster resin and fiberglass cloth and mat), and was wondering what type of cloth I should use for attaching the deck to the sides of the hull?

The new deck is going to be made outside of the boat (using a molding/layup process that will give me a smooth gelcoat surface on the topside), and then will be attached to the stringers using PL adhesive and screws in hidden areas. I was thinking of using something like a 1208 biax/mat tape on the sides (with polyester resin). Is there something more preferable than that? I will need to fair that joint too (for painting), so the smoother the finish, the better.

How we used to do it was a small portion at a time. We spread an MEK acivated putty along the edge, just the amount we needed. Using a roller we layed up a layer of 1.5oz matt over the putty while creating the radius we desired. Next came a layer of biax overlapping the matt while still wet. Move on th the next section. Each section size depends on your abilities and help. Depending on stress, we added overlapping layers, no more than 2 at a time. There may be better ideas out there. Then some putty. "Putty and paint will make it what it aint" Good luck.
