HI can anybody help with the model and year of my Johnson 40hp 2 stroke this is what is stamped onto the silver disc at the top of the cylinder head View attachment 195242

It would be a guess, but I have one looks very similar & mine is a 1976

Hello kodibass thank you for that I have looked at all the model numbers that Johnson have made but I can’t figure out what the year is or the model, how does yours run and start I had a lot of trouble getting it to run but decided to look at the reed leaf plates and found that they was not seating all that good so I bent the reed plates so the seal was nice and flush and it now starts first time and runs smooth
