aloha everyone, what model racor should i use on my force 125 outboards, i picked up a pair of moeller clear site water seperating fuel filter model # 33328-10 from my local marine repair shop only to find out, that filters are hard to find and the o-rings are not available even from moeller, so i have decided to take them back and look for a racor unit, which at this time i'massuming i can find these replacement parts for. i'm just unsure as to the model i need. thank you for any info. aloha

Walmart carries an Attwood Fuel/Water Filter for $27 that installs easily and works fine....maybe simpler than chasing around after a Racor unit?....

Racor uses proprietary threads on its filter heads. Racor base = Racor filters.

Most, if not all others filter bases use a standardized thread so you can use any filter you can get your hands on. It's a very common practice to install a less expensive base then use good quality filters down the road

Of course Racor mostly wrote the book on fuel filtration and they have many different filters for various applications, but for just a "normal" outboard motor application that Walmart/Attwood unit works pretty darn well. You'd assume folks like Walmart would carry a filter that would fit most folks needs and they'd sell a lot of them! If I had a bigger boat with large capacity fuel tanks and the potential for more water in the fuel, I'd want one of those filter units with the clear plastic bowl and petcock so you can see and drain the water as required. But I don't think the clear plastic bowls are approved for inboard boats where a cracked bowl might create a fire hazard.

aloha, thanks for the reply everyone, i have found a few filters that are reported to be compatible with the moeller33315-10 filter
Moeleer 33315-10 filters that will also work

Cross reference list:

Tempo MF10
Sierra 7845
Fram PS3808
Sea Choice 20911
Boating Essentials (Attwood, Wal-mart) 11841
Mercury 35-802893T
i hope this helps someone else. only question i still have is do any of these other brands comewith new o-rings with the filter ? otherwise i'm still stuck with no replacement o-rings ??

Filter cartridges come with O-rings, just like oil filters....

Moeller uses the very popular 11/16”-16-thread filter. Google Merc marine fuel filter for a list of filters that will fit. The Racor replacement for your Moeller is part number B32013

Here is a performance review of the most popular filters.

thanks dingbat, this is for a clearsite filter that has the clear plastic part with drain, that attaches to the bottom of the fuel filter. i've been told the racor filters are supposed to come with the new bottom o-ring,
and robert, i'm looking for the o-ring that goes to the clear drain bowl on the bottom of the filter where you drain the water off, all filters come with the top seal as part of the filter itself, just like car oil filters.

The filters for use with a lower bowl come with the lower o-ring as well.
