What motor shaft length do I need for a 1995 Viper 188D boat?

I recently purchased a 1995 Viper 188D boat without a motor. I need to determine what motor shaft length I need. I've measured from the transom to the bottom of the boat and its 25". This would require a XL motor shaft, which is tough to find in my area. Can anyone confirm that this boat needs a 25" motor shaft? Thanks!
