What motor will fit

Picked up my nearly new pontoon boat today. It is an insurance deal with some fixable damage to the rails. It is a 20 ft. Sun Tracker and it HAD a 2008 Bigfoot 60 hp.4 stroke. All the cables and controls are there but no motor. I want to use a 60hp as well. What other years will work with this harness and is there adapter harnesses available for older model Mercs.

your boat has a "14 pin" main harness. all 2006 model yr. and newer mercs. use this harness. some 2005 also use it starting with ser.#1b227000, in the 60 h.p motor class. there is an adapter harness that will let you use a older motor with 8 pin harnes on a 14pin boat harness. sorry i cannot give you a part# BUT, any merc. dealer should have one in stock.

I'll keep an eye out for a deal on a 06 or newer. I'll also check with a dealer for the adapter # and price. Appreciate the info.
