What octain for 25 HP Merc 2 strokes

Hi folks. I own three 25 HP 2 stroke Mercs. I have run 89 octain fuel in them as that is what my old inlines use, but I don't have the owners manuals and I'm curious what the factory says. They are an 1987; an 1989; and a 1996.

Does anybody know what the recomended octain rating is, (if I can run regular it will save a few nickels).

You can run regular just fine, OMR.
