I have a 74 slickcraft and im trying to ID the outdrive, the previous owner said it was recently rebuilt. The outdrive has been painted over and there are no visible ID tags. In front of the outdrive is a 350. I ran the casting number on the block and from Mortec.com it says that the block was cast from 77-79, 2 or 4 bolt main. So im thinking somebody at some point in this boats 30+ year history has swapped in a 350, but what about the outdrive?

between the bottom two bolts that hold the drive on. that place is for a sticker that may have had the s/n on it. it may also be stamped lightly into the land where the sticker goes to. look close... or

this might help too....

this pic is with the sticker peeled off to a degree, ya can see the s/n stamped on it....

Looks to be a Mercriser One drive (not to be confused with an Alpha one) just an older version of the Alpha I.
