I happen to have a outboard engine, that I don't identify...
It's about 15hp, two cylinders, two Bing carbs, two stroke, gears are switched from throttle handle.
Some parts have a logo like this:

Re: What outboard?

any model numbers or serial numbers?
what color is it?
what kind of spark plugs are in it?
what kind of starter motor, if equipped?
did you acquire this motor in the U.S.?

welcome to iboats!

Re: What outboard?

But does someone recognise the logo? It seems, that it's the manufacturer logo because its on many parts including engine block.
The engine itsself is repainted, both outside and inside the cover. About serial numbers - many parts have number on it (besides "N" logo), but I haven't found the engine factory plate.
I will post some picture tomorrow.

Mobile phone battery was empty, so I couldn't take any pictures under engine cover

I think I've got it:

Nymanbolagen AB (Sweden), a merger of Hermes, Cresent, Vega and Nordstjernan. I believe the outboard was sold under the NV (Nymans Verkstäder) Marin name. Later (mid 60s?) they switched to the name "Crescent". So it's an early "Crescent".

I hope that gets you started on your hunt!
