It's a 290 DP, the DP-D1 is a lot newer and had the newer back cover and an angled top cover.
As far as hardware, are you talking about replacing the old style? The new style doesn't have the line cutters anymore. They quite using them some time ago, but there are spacers to replace them. I assume also this is a gas engined boat? Props and hardware are different.

No, I have a diesel and I am mounting A-5 props on it. I ran them on there all last season w/ no problems, but I now realize I could be missing some hardware on the shafts. From what I was told by a local place here, I need to put on: first the line cutter, second the large prop, third the nut, then on smaller shaft....the "thrust washer" (which takes place of line cutter), smaller prop, then a plastic washer and plastic spacer, then finally the prop cone.

He told me I have a DP-D1, but when I went home to put on all this stuff it all worked well except when I tried using the plastic spacer, there wasnt enough thread to spin the cone on! So I just left out the plastic spacer and put the cone right up against the second prop. Do you think this will be OK?

Those props in your picture are NOT A-5 props, they are B-5 props. The A5's have 4 blades on the aft prop. That will explain your spacer problem.
If your new props are actually the A series, then you will be able to use the spacer that should be in there.
