Will a 99 Force 120hp bolt onto my 89 125hp Lower unit?

The 99 was a Force powerhead on a Merc lower end. The 89 is all Force. Compare the splines on the driveshafts. I don't know if they changed the splines on the crank to accomidate the driveshaft splines or vice-versa for the 99s. It may have Merc splines.
