Hey Everyone,

So I had a 18.5' Grew with a 120 Mercruiser and MC1 outdrive.. Found out it had a bad transom and stringers and floor.. Waaaaaaay too much work. Got myself a 16'5' Bayliner Capri with no motor. So I took the Mercruiser out and put it in the Capri.

Here is where I would need some advice please. Will the prop that was on the Grew still be ok for the smaller Capri? Or what should I be looking for?

Thanks for any advice and help..

I would start with it and see. Might be able to run a higher pitch prop but try it first if you do change pitch most likely you will only go up 1 size (i.e. 19 to a 21).

You're going to be darn close... you already have it, so put it on and see what it does

Thanks I will give it a try. What should I be looking for when out on the water?

You need an accurate tach. and rpm and gps speed at (wide open throttle) I assume you have a 2.5 L and a 1.98 gear ratio.
