What prop should I switch to

I have a 19' 92 Bayliner capri with an I/O merc 3.0 and alpha 1, I think it has 135hp maybe I use it mainly for water sports like tubing and wakeboarding but do fish every once in a while. I have an aluminum 14x19 on there now but it takes forever to plane and pull me so I want to switch to a 4 prop but don't know what size to get can I please get some help. I cant remember what my rpms generally run. thanx ac

my current prop is so chewed up will it give me an acurrate rmp @ wot or should i just guess and buy a prop? my dad gave me the boat so thats why i dont know much about it

Ayuh,... With the total lack of Info, 'n based on this tiny tidbit,...

I'd guess you could Try a 4 blade 18" pitch prop....

ok took the boat out this weekend and got the specs wot is right at 5000 and like i said my prop is pretty bad off i ran it just long enough to get the wot so with that i hope someone can help to let me know which pitch to get with a 4 blade prop and possibly what a good brand is that wont break the bank

You can probably get the prop fixed and get some real numbers then if a change is in order you can keep the prop for a spare.

The Solas Amita won't break the bank and we have had a lot of good reports on them.
You might first want to be sure the motor is in excellent tune,good compressioon and the throttle opens all the way.Someytimes the foam under the floor absorbs water and can add a couple of hundred pounds right at the stern where it hurts most.

I just went from a 21p 14.25 blade to a solas rubex 4 blade of the same pitch and gained 3 mph throughout the entire engine range. This is also on a 3.0L but my engine is 2010. Ditto with others with making sure your engine is shipshape first.

That would be both a great guess and selection..Solas amita 4 blade 18..or 19
