The boat came with a SS 14-1/2 x 19 3 blade Prop. I hit bottom and needed the prop fixed came back looking great but lost 6 MPH off the top. I was getting 42-44 MPH down to 35 now. Trying an alum 4 blade now it will cost a few MPH I'm hoping for 40 with a quick plane and smooth ride. Has anyone made this change?

I went from an aluminum 3 blade 21p to a 4 blade 19p on my 18' Caravelle with a 4.3GL. I could spin the 21 to 4800 but it was slow to plane fully loaded. I went to 19p 4 blade and couldn't be happier...well that is until I get a SS 19p 4 blade. Boat is quick to plane fully loaded with camping gear or the time I had 7 adults on board. You might need to drop to an 18p to get where you want. I can reach 42mph at 4800 and I boat at 4000' elevation.
