What Prop to use???

I was wondering if anyone has a reccomendation for a prop. I have a 24 foot pontoon boat with a Johnson 88HP. I run the boat at several lakes from 3400 fett in elevation to 8500 feet. I also pull my kids on skis and tubes. The boat performs well at the 3400 level however, I do not get the 5500 RPM at WOT like I do on the lakes that are higher. I want a good prop that will get me the most bang for my buck. If I need more than one prop... are they difficult to change when going from one elevation to another. Any help would be appriciated.

A bit of guesswork here, 11 for upper elevations and 13 for lower. Props are easy to swap. All you need is something for the cotter pin and the nut. You should keep a spare cotter or two.

Not sure if 11 or 13 pitch is going to work. I think that I have a 17 pitch prop on the boat right now. It seems that everyone I know is running a 17 or 19 around here. Help me out here...when comparing a 17 to a 19 which one would allow for the greates top end. I do need somewhat of a quick take off for pulling the tube but I also would like to have some top end for running to fishing holes at Lake Powell. Thanks for the input... any further help would be appriciated.

I would certainly drop to a 15" pitch if you have a 17" on there now. 17" seems very high for the set-up though. My in-laws had a 24'er with an 88HP Evinrude and it ran well (5800 RPM's) with a 13" pitch at 650' above sea level. I ran a 11" pitch on a 24'er with a 70 Evinrude...
