Fellas,
i have a 1974 Reinell 15 foot trihull with a 85hp Merc.
Was wondering if anyone knew what prop should be on this combo?
I would guess boat/motor wieghs about 1400lbs.

Any help would be great!

Re: What prop?

If there is a prop on there you should get us the size(on the barrel or under the prop nut),and the present max rpm and speed. If you read the stickies at the top of the page and the helps at the prop store page it will help you understand what we need.

Re: What prop?

prop is a 19. And the diameter seems to be 11 inches.
most rpm i can get out of it is 5200.
Don't have a MPH gauge. Just a tach. But if i had to guess, i'd say 25-30mph.
Boat does get up on plane fast. I'd say 2-3 seconds from a dead stop.

Re: What prop?

Craig,
The full throttle range for your engine is 4800-5500 per Mercury Manual, so you are just about where you should be with that 19" prop.
