Re: What scares you most?
Without intention of hi-jacking this thread I have to say Alzheimers(sp) is a horrible disease for all parties incolved. I was fortunate enough to have met my great grandmother before her decline with the disease, and it was very heart wrenching to watch her decline. Many times I can recall watching her not recognize her own children or grand children but spout off the names of the great grandkids as well as the great-great grandkids with absolute ease. Having met her before the disease took hold it was disheartining to see the decline, to say the least. To see the obvious frustration on her part when she knew that these people were kin but she couldn't say how was the absolute worst part. <br /><br />With that said, my worst fear is to be an incosequential figure in the life of the people I know. Being remembered for my ideals, not deeds, words or name. That is, to me, the quintesential immortal life.
