I work 7 days a week. Retired people never get a day off. Think about it

I am in sales...8 to 5...yeah right!.....most days I am done by 2 or 3.....but somtimes I start at 6 am, and have been on site as late as midnite.....I could never take an office position again...sales allows a lot of time for me

2:30PM to 10:30PM for the last 3 years. Will move up to day shift in about 3 more when the lab manager at the water works retires. I kinda like my shift, though. I can hit the lake at 8:00 and have plenty of time out there, then just pull the boat to work with me, because it's halfway between my house and the lake.

Re: what shift do you work

My actual schedule is 9-5:30, Mon-Fri. However, for the last 10 months it has been 8 to whenver I am done, 6-7 days a week, averaging around 65 hours per week over that span. I can't really complain though. The Michigan economy is such a mess its good to just be employed let alone be busy. The hours do get to be a burden at times. My upper management understands that I need time off though and with the exception of fiscal quarter ends and inventory I can pretty much take off whatever days I want. Back to work now.

Day's only..

As soon as there is enough light to see till the work is done...

that will be 5:30 till 16:00 or a bit later in summer.

and 8:00 till 15:00 more or less in winter

M-Th 8:00-5:00
F 8:00-4:00

I usually work late voluntarily one or two days a week because I can't do anything to servers while users are on the system. It's nice to just work late because you know you need to do something rather than someone telling you to. You still work late but it just seems better somehow.

I was on a rotating shift like that for two years, all I can say is I hope it works better for you than it did for me.
