Have you done any troubleshooting on the old motor? What sort of unit is it? We could use more information in order to make realistic comments.

the motor is so simple. you either do not have the coil, points, condenser, and plug wires installed correctly, or you have a the kill wire to that coil grounded.

"All the parts" is a little vague.
But I'll start with the ignition. The new coils armatures should line up with the bosses on the stator plate.Have you swapped coils to see if the problem follows.Have you swapped the plugs wouldn't be the first time a coil or plug was defective.Cleaned adjusted and CHECKED the points?Did you replace the coil wires with proper solid core wires.Flywheel bore cleaned and dry, crankshaft taper cleaned and dry, good key installed, flywheel nut tightened to 360 to 480 in. pounds?Condensers checked or replaced. All wires checked for shorts.Does it run on one cylinder?

It dosent run at all. I have replaced all new parts on it. I have checked the wires and i am getting a spark on on spark plug. I Dont know what else to do to it. I get a spark but the other one wont spark. so i see if the wire is all connected and it is so i try to start it and i get the other spark plug to fire but the one that sparked before it wont spark anymore. Thats what i dont undderstand.

Get a Service Manual, Cougar.

"All the parts" has no useful meaning. What parts, exactly?

If one plug is firing the engine should start. It won't run well, but it will start. It doesn't matter which plug is firing.

What plugs do you have, gapped at what? What did you set the points at?

Changing parts is the most used, most expensive and least effective troubleshooting method known to man. You have probably introduced multiple faults.

Guys, see the following:

At this point, Cougar, you need to have a friend that can actually see the motor in person to help you, or, take it to a mechanic. It should be an easy fix. You can't get a better, more reliable motor than a 60's johnson 3hp. Where are you from?

So if im getting spark from only one plug it will start? So is there a chance that i can change the coils around and that it will start?
