Im going to be installing a fuel tank under the floor at about the center of my boat and im wondering what size fuel line i should use. Im thinking about running the line to the stern and then having the primer ball close to the motor at about the splashwell.

1. What size fuel lind should i use as far as OD/ID?
2. Is that where the primer ball should be located? near the motor?
3. If i was going to add a water seperator should the primer ball be before or after the water seperator?

Thanks!!!

you'll have to use the correct size tube for whatever fuel fitting at the tank. My V-8 feeds off 5/16 line if that helps any. I don't think it matters where you locate the primer bulb.

Drew, Fuel line is sized to the motor size. Use 3/8" ID for 6 cylinder or larger motors, 5/16" ID for 4-5 cylinder motors and 1/4" ID is OK for 1-3 cylinder motors. Primer bulb goes near motor, water seperator is upstream of primer bulb.

I would probably go with 3/8, especially for longer distances. Whatever you use, make sure is it CG approved.

Have a great day,

Rob.
