I'm replacing the fuel lines on my 56 Evinrude 30 HP and have converted the pressure tank. What size fuel lines do I need to use?

Re: What Size Fuel Line?

Bump

I have a 1982 70HP Evinrude and just purchased a new fuel tank. As I was buying the hose, the cleck said I should step up from thr 5/16 to the 3/4 gauge line.

He said "that size of engine should have a larger line."

I bought his line and bought the line.

Will I notice any difference?

Thx

Certainly you mean 3/8 not 3/4. Anyway, if 5/16 is enough, you won't see any difference by going to 3/8. On the other hand, if 3/8 is required, you WILL see a difference, possibly even engine damage, if you use too small (5/16).

Is 3/8 required on your 70hp? Probably not.

Bottom line: 3/8 can't hurt. 5/16 can.
