Re: What size kicker?!?

I have a wood block that is used to prop the kicker motor up when not in use. Zip ties to make sure it doesn't get lost. Not high tech but it keeps the leg out of the water.

You may need to get a kicker bracket to get that long leg out of the water. Nice motor and very sweet that the ignition is new. Check the points the lower end fluid and go fishing.

Thanks 64. I was going to craft a little bracket for the motor out of aluminum. A chop saw with metal cutting blade, drill, and pop rivet gun and I should have a nice little weather proof bracket. I just tied the motor into my main steering system last night, and it works great! I can even fully steer with the kicker in the up position, and do not have to unclasp the "Easy steer". Ill post some pics when I get a chance!

Okay guys here is the vid of the motor running on my 16' Aluminum Stacraft Fishmaster, and my homemade easy steer. Bear in mind that the bracket on the backup motor is temporary, as all that I had at the time was zip ties, but this required NO drilling, and also I can raise either motor and not have to remove the steering brace.
