Re: What Size truck for a 24'er?

took the words pretty much out my mouth. no need to find all the gvcw and all that for a boat that shouldnt be anywheres close to a z71 towing rating.

No need? People post ALL the time on this site saying "you'll be fine" when all they have to do is look at the numbers. I'm not a toon guy, so I had no idea they were that light.
Now put the shoe on the other foot, what if a toon guy buys a heavier type craft.

It's SMART to actually look at and know your trucks capabilities,. instead of relying on a bunch of names on a forum to tell you it's all good.

well coming from a truck guy which i am i am saying its all good i see your point. but an average 1500 2wd or 4wd is rated anywheres from 6k-10k depending on options, gearing, people, gear etc.. now on other boats that i know are heavier then yes i would have recommended a look to see what the rating was but being he is talking about a toon the same size as mine and it doesnt have the 3rd log in it then i know he is safe towing with that z71..... even my tritoon only weighs in loaded at around 3500 pounds

I see you missed my point, while reiterating the point you already made.

Never mind, carry on...
