my spring pack is very rusted from salt water, and im looking to replace them. I have a couple of questions.

Sea ray says my boat is 2100 lbs dry. 22 gal tank adds ~175lbs, plus oil, and misc stuff, im up to about 2300-2400lbs.

are springs marked like tires? each side it added together? so id need 1200 or 1400 lbs springs? how high can i go? 1600?

I measured the springs from bolt to bolt. I did this with the trailer loaded, is this correct? EDIT: the bolts are static with no shackles. one end of the spring is open so it slides.

i also want to replace the hubs, but i think that may be another thread.

The Axle, Trailer and Tires will all be very close to the same numbers.
The Overall Trailer Gross Rating will be the lessor of the Axle, Springs, or the Tires.

What Tires are on it and what are their Load Ratings?

The Size of the Axle Bearings are also an indicator.

Re: what springs do i need?

175/80-13's come in load range B,C,and D at 1100, 1360, and 1610 lbs.

Your 2400 lb boat plus trailer is going to put you in the ~3000lb range.
Let's hope they are the range D tires, and a 3200lb rated trailer. (D=65psi)

~1600lb springs would be indicated.

i plan to replace the hubs as well, but i dont even know where to start with those. The trailer is the factory shorelander that comes with the boat, so i hope its rated for enough lbs.
