Hi, I searched but didn't find the answer.

My boat I just boat doesn't have a Tach. on it and I have a 1994 Force 120 on the back. Can I just buy the gauge or do I need to buy more stuff or a kit of somekind... I looked on ebay but dint' have enough info to get the right one.

Thanks!

Any marine tach should work. Hit the web and look for "tiny tach."

Re: What Tach. do I need?

As already mentioned most marine tachs should work. Marine tachs have a selector switch on the back to match up to the specific motor it will be run on. See these links.

http://faria-instruments.com/site_manuals/IS0100D_9.pdf

and

http://www.faria-instruments.com/index-new.html

A tach connection wire usually exists at the throttle control box and can be connected directly to the tach signal terminal on the gauge. The gauge will also need +12VDC and Gnd. If your throttle control box does not already have a tach wire harness you may need to buy one.
