What tires are you running?

Hi, I have a 20' Misty Harbor Pontoon that came with a single axle trailer. It has 20.5x8x10 tires on it (10 ply). The original tires lasted for years with not problems, but after I replaced them this year I have blown 3 tires on very few miles. They run hot and blow out. So I am wondering what size tires people are running. I have seen some 13" tires that seem like they would run cooler.

Thanks

Double check your load rating and tire pressure. If the 10" tire worked before it should still work as long as they are rated the same.

They are rated the same as the last ones. I haven't checked the weight of the boat/trailer. I need to do that, but I assumed the tires that came on the boat from the factory would be rated for the the boat/trailer. The tires that have blown have been very hot, that's why I am considering running larger diameter tires. The tires on there now are tubless high speed tires. I have been towing at a max of 55 mph

And have them filled with nitrogen instead of air. That will reduce the heat.

Think his problem goes way beyond that. 78, I'd suggest having this thread moved to Trailers and Towing. Something is definitely not right and you'll get a lot more input over there.
