What to do about a windshield

The windshield on my Blackfin is rough. The frame is pitted and has various holes drilled here and there. The side panels have been replaced with plexi-glass thats almost impossible to see through. Most of the rubber strips that cover the edge of the glass and help hold it in are missing with a sloppy caulking job taking their place. I've put a few hours in grinding and polishing, but its a lost cause. I can get new glass cut, and I guess I could weld all the extra holes and have the frame powder coated, but I still can't find the rubber strips anywhere. Anybody know a source for those or a place that builds complete windshields? I know iboats sells some, but I need it to be the same size and shape. The curtains are way to expensive to not be able to reuse. Thanks, Mike

Re: What to do about a windshield

I watched ship shape the other day and they replaced a windshield to exact measurements -I believe the company was Taylor Made and I think they said there was a custom link on their website. I would call them and see if they can help you. I hope that helps in your search.
