what to do ? boat still porpoises

Greetins All.. I have a 19ft open centre consol fishing boat that was made by braiginton boat works in friday harbour wash state , its called a terminator, gone out of business in 1990 , so ther no help. Anyway.... I have just finished installing my new 105lb 4d battery up in the bow to reduce weight at the back , I have 4 12lb downrigger balls , an 15lb? anchor, 30 ft of 1/4 inch chain in the front as well . My motor is a 2 stroke 94 120 johnson mounted at the second to last hole from the top, my kicker is a 92 merc 9.9 xl leg. Thats all the weight for the back ......I have 1290 smart tabs installed with both adjustments at the half way point, as per JD, from idle to plane is excellent, but as I trim out to just the motor bein horizontal the bow starts to porpoise , when I adjusted the tabs , " bottom mount" to push bow down more she loses speed, there is also a whole lot of spray comin out from behind the motor , almost like water droplets ,,,, dont know what to do next, keep addin weight ???????? not. thks for ur patience....Leo

Have you checked the engine height? Sounds like it may be riding too low.
Where is the cavitation plate in reference to the bottom of the hull? It should be an inch or so above the bottom of the hull.
Post some pics and maybe we can tell.
I'm sure John at Nauticus will have some input also..

Leo, Normally the motor trim pin would be in the second hole from the BOTTOM, not top. You might try that,

Gary the motor sits about 1 inch above the bottom of the keel, the keel it self is about an inch high ....as u mentioned im gonna go up to the last mountin hole and try it .......thks Chris u confusing me, the trim pin is not at the second hole from the top , the motor is mounted at the 2nd hole from the top..thks Leo
