What To Do With My Old Powerhead?

First, I am not trying to sell here and apologize in advance if this post goes over the line in that respect.

After installing a rebuilt powerhead in my '88 115 L6, the old one with 2 low/no compression cylinders sits in the garage holding the floor down. Seems like a waste of good parts and I hate to waste or throw anything away, but I'm not sure what to do with it. I've toyed with the idea of having it bored/honed and rebuilding myself for a "spare" or even sell it as a rebuild. I wonder, does anyone know if there's a market out there for something like this "as is" and can point me in the right direction? I know most remans require a core, but the shop that I got the rebuilt one from did not ask for this one. Thanks,

Greg

A spare parts motor/powerhead could be very nice to have, IF you ever use it. Maybe strip all good/usable parts off motor for future use or sell the entire thing on E-Bay or other. I have a spare motor for my Tanaka which is no longer made and that spare has been really great on occasion, but you can still get parts for yours, so it may not justify having that old anchor laying around in your garage. It's a fairly good bet that as soon as you unload that thing, you'll need a part off it! Good Luck!

I did scavenge some of the rubber mounts off it for the rebuilt. Guess I'll hang on for a while. The rebuilt only has a year on it and seems to run strong, but who knows what could come up.
