I replaced my exhaust manifolds yesterday on my OMC 460 King Cobra with a new pair a bought a couple of years ago. Now I'm trying to decide what to do with the old ones. They don't look terrible (risers looked much worse) and I don't see big flakes of rust. There's some rust flaking off on the outside of the manifold where it attaches to the head.
Here's a pic:
Do these look decent enough to not throw out? I was thinking of having them dipped in muriatic acid to clean them out, repaint, and then keep them around unless I ever need them.
Seeing how impossible these manifolds are to find, I'd hate to toss them out.
