What to do with wake boards??

I just bought a boat this year and the wife and I are going to be wakeboarding, or attempting wakeboarding I shall say. My boat is a 2005 Tahoe Q4 with 190HP V6. I have a new Hyperlite 140 and she has a 130. My question is, without having the wake tower, where do I put the boards? What is everyone else doing that does not have a tower? We will also be tubing, and with a small boat load of people, the 2 board get in the way. I don't want to have to run back to shore every time we want to switch from boarding to tubing.

I plan to buy a wake tower this winter, but for now that's not possible. Is there some other type of rack that will hold 2 boards out of the way, maybe on the side of the boat somehow without drilling any new holes? Any other suggestions? :D

I like these that were posted on that thread, but they are super expensive. If I was going to spend that much I would just buy the tower. I did get a few ideas from that post however, thanks.

Patent costs far more than I'll ever make with these things. I build them myself, so costs are down but so is production. With a patent, all someone has to do is show some improvement on the design, and they can do what they wish with it. I don't think it could be commercially produced in it's present form for a profit.

Wow - that is a cool design - are you putting another on ebay? I think I'll take one...

I have one more finished, 8 more in the process. If not sold locally, they'll go on ebay, too.

I saw these in another thread also, love the idea.
Question...will these work on pop-up cleats?

As long as the cleats are 6 inches long and about 1 1/2 inches between the supports (the two things where the cleat actually attaches to the boat) they'll fit.

Check your PM. This idea is great and just what I am looking for.

Ok maybe I am stating the obvious but both my wake boards and bindings plus tons of other gear fit in the ski locker. Your Tahoe sounds the same size as my Chaparral.

Bungee cord them to a gunnel or a grab rail on the outside, cut a wakeboard sized hole in the deck and build a door to go over it with a couple short brass piano hinges, hang some bumpers off the gunnel and hang the boards over with some spare line or build a simple rack out of spare wood in about five minutes - cut some slots in wood that fit the board thickness and then attach a cross member with screws (stainless would be first choice, coated would be second) and screw said rack into gunnel in as out of the way location as possible.
