21.5' Campion fishing machine, 150 2 stroke yamaha oil injected, 9.9 4 stroke yamaha. I have a complete spare motor (not running) 200hp Yamaha that is a parts motor. I'm trying to decide what i should carry with me on the boat while fishing for those repairs that I can do on the water. obvious - prop, castle nut ect, spark plugs, various hoses ect, extra litre of oil, anything else you might consider carrying? I sometimes overnight on the boat and can be 2-3 hours from my port. thanks

how far out you going? Here in Jax, 40-60 miles is typical for a weekend warrior offshore trip, we call it the ledge, where the water goes from 100-600. List is much longer for something like that. Inshore or near shore. A nice VHF or good cell service and seatow or boatus is all you need. I keep a bag of tools, spare fuses, extra 2 stroke, etc for in shore but my list for going deep is very long.
