I've always had a problem with what to do with the anchor. It seems that it is always in the way. If you put it away when your not using it then when you do need it it seems like the line is always tangeled up. A friend of mine told me to check out this web site Windline Stanchion Mount Anchor Roller from Wholesale Marine So I did .there is the answer, a windline stanching mount. How come I never saw one of these before. Well I ordered one and I may order another one. Great idea.

That`s good looking idea. I just put mine in a 5 gallon bucket it holds the line and is easy to move to what spot its needed and the bucket keeps the mud off of the deck.

I bought a Richter anchor and I love it but trying to plan where I'm going to put it is challenging. I'd like to keep it towards the front for weight distribution purposes but other than putting it under the front seat I'm clueless. Any ideas?

I keep mine in a front seat compartment. I've had good luck just coiling the line dropping the chain in the center and setting the hook on top. The only time I have a problem with a tangled line is if I pick the hole thing up to move it somewhere else. Like now I had to do just that. So I will play out all the line and coil it back in when ready. I use a Danforth style mostly and wouldn't want the points sticking someone if left out in the open.

Ditto Hawker. I'm not into complicated. A plastic bucket under the front cushion holds anchor, chain, and rope. Actually I have 2 buckets for 2 anchors. FYI, in nearly 30 years of boating and PWC's I've only used an anchor 2 or 3 times. When fishing on the river it is kind of fun to drift with the current.

Sounds like the bucket idea works the best! I'll go with that, I kind of like the idea because it's mobile and you can use it to put it where you want for the weight distribution.
