Hi, I am new to the boating world and I have purchased a 1983 Peterborough runabout. I want to know what model of engine I have. It is a 3.8 L OMC. Is that considered a King Cobra? or a Cobra?
Why is it called a stringer drive? I know that at the back of the intermediate housing there is ball gears. After I bought the boat I stripped everything out of it. The stringers were all rotten and so was the transom. My problem now is that I rebuilt everything but I am not sure how far back I need to position the engine.
