What type of flare is on this oil line? (Pics included)

Hi Guys,

I'm working on my outboard's tilt/trim and need to replace an oil line. The part I need (Johnson/Evinrude 0390443) is no longer available.

I replaced the line about a year ago with a steel brake line that I had bent and flared (double inverted flare) and it worked OK, but I'd like to replace it with the correct type line.

I'm having trouble figuring out what this type of termination it is so that I can search for something that will work.

Any other suggestions/inputs on what to do? My thought is to figure out what type of flare this is, then order something that looks like it will fit. OR, see if someone can custom make one for me (NAPA? Carquest/Advance? Hydraulic Shop?)

Any ideas?

Thanks!

that is a metric o-ring connection. a good hydraulic shop that make stainless braided brake lines should be able to set you up. possibly the guys at Napa. since Carquest was purchased by advanced, they got rid of all the knowledgeable people and replaced them with skippy.....

skippy at advance or autozone or any of the other "big-box-auto-parts" would ask you "er...what make and model"...

and there is enough support for Johny-rudes that the part is still available on some sites, just google the part number, I found it for about $60

you can also go to your local Johny-rude dealer and ask them, I am willing to bet that they already have replacement parts on the shelf.

Any chance you could point me where you found it online? I was able to find it listed and for $60, but all of those places are out of stock.

Thank you for your help! If I can't find it online, I'll try a hydraulic shop.
