I checked my fluids and found I need to add some power steering fluid. I looked in the manual and it said to use Quicksilver Power Trim and Sterring Fluid or Automatic Transmisson Fluid Dexron or Dexron II. What do most people use and is there % of quick silver power trim and sterring fluid people use?

What's the difference what others use, you seem to know what belongs in it. If someone says they use gasoline, is that what you plan on using?

I dont know what to use. I just got the boat and then bought the manual and looks like it gave me the options of a combo of tim and power sterring fluid but did not give me a % of what to use or to use regular transmission fluid. That is why I asked.I am pretty sure there are other on this forum with a Mercuriser V-6 that can let me know their experience in power sterring fluid. THank you for your advice though.

You can use either, or even mix the two. Just look in the power steering reservoir, if it's red, use ATF.
