Out walking fence this morning. Haven't done that in a while.

As I approached the dam on one of my smaller tanks I flushed a. . . .something. Saw it for only about a second.

Appeared to be a lizard, about 9" to a foot long. Cream or pale tan colored. Ran quickly with the squirming motion common in gators and iguanas. Disappeared into a cedar thicket where I was unable to find it. Never saw anything like it here before.

Any ideas? Could it have been an iguana?

Probably someone's pet iguana that they no longer wanted and disposed near your land. Then again, you haven't been making tea from those cow-pie mushrooms, have you?;):D:D

Wrong color, LT. Didn't see it long enough to say more.

A very likely suspect, Bob. Right size, right color, right region of the right state.

The article says "slow". I guess that is a relative term; seemed rather quick to me, but definitely slower than lizards of my experience.

Thanks for your trouble. :)
