I am restoring my 40HP 1966 Evinrude Lark VIII. The paint has obviously faded over time, but still appears blueish (grey haze). In its faded state it is not nearly as dark as the examples of polychromatic blue that i have seen. According to internet sources it may be:
(1)Evinrude 1963-69 Blue: Bombardier #771259 polychromatic blue
(2)Evinrude 1963+/-: Dupli-Color #175 Light Blue (AP 175 Light Blue M)
(3)BLUE63 POLYCHROMATIC BLUE 1963-66
(4)or "Blue Mist" which looks like it was implemented in 1967
In this 1966 Evinrude ad, it appears as if there were two colors for the Lark VIII 40 HP ? a grey that was in the forefront and a blue that was in the background ? If so, I am interested in the more blue one that is in the background.

What do you guys think/know ?
