They said it's 106 on the news, I don't know because the LCD in my thermometer melted in the sun this morning.:^ Humidity is only around 20%...I'm sitting out in the pool with a beer and loving it. 8)

Ok at 6pm (now yesterday) 96 in the shade and 102 in the back yard 82 inside at 7ft 82 deg, and at 5 ft 77..
Supposed to be the same today... but today I have to be out in it.. Arrrrg

Here in my town, half way between San Franwako and San Jose, the temperature was 109 F, with a heat index of 112 F. That was with only 21% humidity.

I've been here many years, don't I don't ever remember temperature's like this here. :^

No, "Al", this is a natural phenomena, not global warming, you wack job. The water temperature of the Pacific Ocean, 25 miles west of my house, is only 59 degrees. :|

St. Louis got a break today with temp's only in the mid 80's. Wifey works for the power company, so I haven't seen her in the last 5 days. She's working 16 hour shifts, manning the phones, and gets a 6 hour break in between. Still have over 400,000 without electric....

Today has been just like the past 7 days. Well over a hundred. When we came thru Redding Thursday the van thermometer read 111. The heat could continue thru the weekend. Yikes.

Humidity wasn't bad, but wasn't good. (Can't remember exact readings)

Here in Central California it was 113 F(99F degrees at 9 am this morning). Been that way for two weeks from what I hear. I wasn't here. I was in Virginia enjoying that nice muggy, stormy, crazy 100 degree weather. Ugh! I've never glowed so much in my life. I think Mom and I contributed to the humidity even.
So, I'll take this. Its at least a dry heat. Cough,cough! Believe me? Not.
Hang in there everyone and keep hydrated. People are dying out here because of the heat and we've got rolling brown-outs and black-outs. Be careful.
